Hello & Happy Fashion Friday! FNO!

New York Fashion Week started yesterday and kicked off with the bang known as Fashion Night Out.  My mom wanted to come into NYC to see what all the FNO fuss was about. She brought one of her friends and came out with a bunch of my friends! fun! we started uptown, walking along 5th ave and cutting across 57th street hitting Gucci, Burberry, YSL, Miu Miu and UGG along the way. (ugg was actually hoppin’)

We were on the hunt for bubbly, which this year was actually hard to come by. I think that after the mess that was 2011 FNO, the stores learned their lesson and sobered up. oh well. FNO is Halloween for the fashion industry, the streets are packed with fashionistas and camera flashes, everybody meeting everybody, and everybody getting along. After walking around midtown east, we hopped on the F train and headed down the soho.

holy moly. soho was a wreck. so packed you can’t fit anywhere, and if there was champagne, it was impossible to get at. we ducked into a couple stores, including the Ivanka Trump store and the Galeria Melissa (cute plastic shoes!) and ran into New York’s Doll, Michaela! after a couple of photoshoots we walked down Spring street and into Chanel and Theory. Theory served us a couple glasses of wine before we grabbed a cab and headed back to brooklyn.
