Happy Tutorial Tuesday! How to make a bow-bun!
needed:
hair spray
hair elastic
bobby pin
2 minutes of time!
If you remember, i wore my hair like this on FNO and have since gotten compliments about it. it’s super easy and i wanted to show you how i do mine. i have thick, long hair. this makes the bow work- thin, short hair definitely won’t work as well. i also find it easier if you spray your hair with hair spray so that it’s not slippery and has some texture to it. slippery hair will be tricky and won’t hold as well.
pull all of your hair on top of your head, as high as you can get it. all the way to your forehead, keep going, think you look ridiculous? okay, you’re there.
separate one strand from the upper/side region of your hair (pictured)
leaving that one strand hanging, make a tight looped bun on top of your head, fanning it out when secured. yes, you look like you have a giant hair ball on your head. cute!
take the long, lost strand and wrap it around the base of your bun, starting at the front until you’re back at the front again.
seperate your bun with the strand and secure it in the back, at the base of your bun with a bobby pin.
adjust your bun to your liking, and make sure to spray it lots to keep it from moving/changing.
voila! bun! easy peasy! enjoy!
