Happy Tutorial Tuesday! How to get my everyday makeup look. 

I do not like to take long to get ready in the morning and do not ever take more than 3 minutes to do my makeup. mascara (sephora brand extreme volume), eyeliner (sephora brand, black liquid) & lipstick (mac, russian red) and boom. i’m done. 

TIPS: creating the outline of the cate eye is the most important part, it’s much easier and cleaner to fill in a shape that is drawn than to build on it, and pulling your eyelid out to the side makes it much easier to paint on. lean in real close to your mirror and be in good light. you’ll be able to see exactly what you’re doing. practice. liquid liner takes lots of it.  

when looking for an everyday lipstick, buy a matte finish. no gloss, no cream, no nothing. matte. it’s the only kind that will stay on your lips, i promise. “kiss test” “24 hour wear” i dont believe anything those other tubes say. yes, i need to touch up after a meal or a lot of drinks, but matte lipstick stays put on your pout and a good matte does not dry your lips out (mac & nars are good for moisture retention).

disclaimer. i have a big face with big eyes. this look obviously is not going to work on everybody, but be aware of your features. small eyes can’t handle as much as large ones. scale your look to fit your face!
