LOOK.AT.THESE.SHOES. thank you, macy smith. you are my favorite designer. the flies have 3D wings, yes, i repeat, the flies have 3D wings. that’s pretty fly!  i can’t wait to wear these to parties & picnics (& picnic parties!) all summer long!

This weekend marks my return to my favorite artist market in NYC, Artists & Fleas. This Williamsburg-based vintage/handmade/designer market is full of the greatest stuff and i am so happy to be a part of it THIS WEEKEND AND NEXT! Come say hi and buy some super fun stuff!

Happy Fashion Friday! The Michaela Print!

on my 24th birthday, my former intern (& current super close friend), michaela, stopped by my apartment to give me a card that she had made for me. on the front of the card she had doodled all of my favorite things into the shape of a heart. one look at this card and i was in love. “this has to be a fabric” after it was scanned & turned into vector images, i got it printed onto a fabric to wear at my launch party last june. this year i got it printed onto a couple different weights of cotton and made skirts, aprons, bandanas, pillows, pillowcases & baby bibs for you to purchase! it couldn’t be cuter.  buy a bundle of the michaela print: a skirt, bandana & apron(!!!) for a total of $100 and a savings of $33!

check out some behind the scenes shots of our yesterday’s photoshoot featuring my lovely & talented model friends, (the seasoned julie mollo model) ashley walker & (the AMAZING first timer!) sophie dupin, and though she’s not visible, katrina eugenia was obviously behind the camera. what an evening. for another hint about the shoot, i vacuumed up a LOT of feathers last night. they’re still in my sheets. can’t wait to share all of them! woo hoo!

I am 1/4 of the way through my project: 365- design a day- and i am so proud of this project. i cannot wait to create something bigger out of this come january.

i have just so happened to acquire 4 denim jackets (light blue, dark blue, white & red) in the past 2 months so i have decided to start doing what i do best…bedazzling. i studded the white denim jacket with three rows of studs while home recovering from my teeth and i couldn’t be happier with the results. i feel like a badass, but a cute one. from the front i look like the all american lady, but from the back…watch out. 

just kidding, i’m really not tough at all..even my pepper spray looks like lipstick.

This morning I got my wisdom teeth out and it reminded me of a collection I designed back in college based around the mouth.This was the front logo, which hangs above my bed in my parents home in Massachusetts. They were some of my favorite designs and I’ll be sure to share them when I am back in New York! Time to get back to relaxing!
