happy waistline wednesday!
it’s that time of year again! $1 vanilla soft serve cones at mcdonalds! for 150 calories and nearly 5 grams of protein you can’t go wrong! if the temperature is above 70 degrees, chances are im walking around town with one of these in my hand.
this adorable photo was made possible with #abeautifulmess photo app. it’s pretty cute, and pretty cheap. i bought it. you probably will too.
happy waistline wednesday
there is something about a new purchase that excites you and makes you forget all of your problems. feel like your world is crashing and burning? i did and bought a new computer last spring (haha, really). going through a breakup? buy yourself some sexy shoes and prance around like no boy has ever done you wrong. a new bag is a wonderful thing. a home to all of your necessities, and a new accessory that you bring everywhere. this is a mental health tip from yours truly. in times of need, put it on plastic and forget it cost you any money. (just don’t tell thrifty thursday about this post! ;)
happy waistline wednesday! my mcgill workout
so, usually the songs i go on a run to are sung by thin blonde women who have crazy bodies and sing a super pop-py song about boys or whatever. Great Caesar’s McGill came on my iphone while i was out at the park one day and instead of changing it, i ran to it. the song starts out slow but tells a story that you want to hear the ending to. by the end of the song, as it grew, i found i had my volume up all the way and i was in a full out sprint. putting this song on repeat is the perfect workout. start out slow in a walk or jog and end in a high-intensity workout.
great caesar is making a music video to this song and i have been brought on as the costume designer. this is not going to be your average video, let me assure you. this will be a beautiful piece of history and i am so, SO happy to be a part of it.

happy waistline wednesday! treat yourself.
feeling & looking good doesn’t always have to do with working out and eating right..sometimes you need a little bit of help to bring your best features out. enter: facials. i hadn’t had one in about 3 years and yesterday i had one with jillian at jillian wright clinical skin spa on 66th/madison in NYC. she is a friend of mine and this was my first facial with her/at her spa. it was so lovely. my skin is bright, glow-y and smooth and i seriously feel like i have an instagram filter on my face as i walk around.
when you feel good it shows! treat yourself!
happy waistline wednesday! have cellulite? get rid of it with lighting!
check out this interview with the lovely dita von teese and read how she feels the cure to cellulite is in lights. now, let me tell you, i was 10’ away from her while she wore only pasties and a g-string and i didn’t see a lump or bump anywhere. she is 40, porcelain and perfect. i know it’s more than the lighting, but my father has his own lighting company and i think i’m going to have him rig my apartment with pink lights next time he visits. Afterwards i’ll just be sure to never let anyone see me outside of my apartment ever again ;)
